Programme Impact
Improving WELDO’s programme delivery and conducting rigorous impact assessment.

Three connected pillars — assisted returns, sustainable reintegration, and evidence-led research — that guide every WELDO programme.
From the moment a migrant decides to return, through arrival and settlement, to the evidence that improves future programmes — WELDO stays with people every step of the way.
WELDO provides assisted return services to labour migrants, asylum seekers and refugees who are unable or unwilling to remain in the host country or country of transit and who have decided to return to their country of origin.
We take a comprehensive approach: migrants are prepared before departure and feel welcome upon arrival. Pre-departure counselling addresses their concerns, and WELDO staff at the airport offer a friendly meet-and-greet that instils a sense of security and safety.
Reintegration assistance ensures that migrants can return to their home countries in a dignified, humane and sustainable manner.
WELDO assists migrants who are either detained or want to leave, but who do not have the financial or logistical resources to do so. In joint collaboration with European Partner Institutions, we help beneficiaries rebuild their lives once they have returned to Pakistan.
Each returnee receives a tailor-made reintegration plan that reflects their situation, needs and skills — with emphasis on sustainable returns that offer real future perspectives for individuals and families.
WELDO captures substantial data and insights that are instrumental in policy analysis, dialogue facilitation and capacity development — working closely with implementers, policymakers and beneficiaries.
These high-quality, policy-relevant knowledge products help analyse migration-related multi-sectoral trends, linkages, behavioural factors, social and economic drivers, and profiling of research subjects.
